Garwood Recreation has announced new programs being offered in partnership with Mad Science. The programs, STEM Odyssey and Crayola® World of Design, are designed for children ages 5-12 and will begin on October 21, 2024. The classes will run for 6 weeks, meeting once a week for one hour at the Garwood Sports and Recreation Complex in Garwood, NJ.

The STEM Odyssey program, for grades K-5, will take place on Mondays from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Children will explore various aspects of science, including heat, color, sound, magnets, optical illusions, and nutrition, through hands-on activities and experiments.

The Crayola® World of Design program, also for grades K-5, will follow the STEM Odyssey program on Mondays. This program aims to spark children's creativity and imagination by engaging them in various design projects using Crayola tools and materials.

Registration for each program costs $153.00 per student for residents and $160.00 per student for non-residents. Interested parents can reserve a spot by registering online at www.garwoodrec.com.
