Union County Commissioner Vice-Chairwoman Lourdes Leon recently attended a promotional ceremony for the Union County Police Department at the Trailside Nature and Science Center in Mountainside, according to reports. The event celebrated several promotions within the police department, including the promotions of Andrew Klein to Captain, Chris Stanaway to Lieutenant, Nelson Costa to Sergeant, and Antonio Rodrigues to the rank of Detective.

In addition to these promotions, the ceremony also included the swearing-in of two new officers, bringing further reinforcements to the department's workforce. Furthermore, four new recruits joined the Union County Police, marking the start of their law enforcement careers.

The ceremony took place against the backdrop of a sign indicating the location: Hudson County, N.J., Department of Public Safety (Dept. of Publi), with a connected sign indicating Hudson County Police. The participation of vice-chairwoman Leon and the display of the county signage underscored the importance accorded to the ceremony by county authorities.
