On Wednesday, July 19, all stores in Cranford will be closed for the day. This closure is to allow residents to participate in the annual excursion to Asbury Park and Ocean Grove, part of an event known as "Cranford's Salt Water Day."

The Cranford Business Men's Association organized the excursion, which was also held the previous year, resulting in positive feedback from the community. The association is inviting residents to share their memories of "Cranford's Salt Water Day" and to express their interest in bringing the event back.

Additionally, there is a chance to win a stylish Cranford Chamber scarf by being the first to provide information about the origins of "Cranford's Salt Water Day." The event has historical significance, with the first occurrence noted in 1921.
